Timmy Mallett is known as a TV and entertainment personality, but he is just as versatile and colourful in his artistic endeavours. He loves painting, (mainly in acrylics), and will reach for his "Mallett's Palette" at the drop of a brush.

With the consultation on eco-towns closing today, the Liberal Democrats have condemned ministers for hijacking local planning processes. Of the 15 councils facing a possible eco-town in their area, 13 have come out as 'opposed' or with 'serious concerns' about the plans.

Liberal Democrat candidate Stephen Kearney has given his heartfelt thanks to voters in Henley and all those who have helped his campaign. Conservative John Howell was elected with Stephen in second place. Labour slumped to a dismal 5th on just 3.1% of the vote.

Former Party Leader Paddy Ashdown returned to support Stephen Kearney's campaign in Henley this morning. Paddy and Stephen Kearney went to the livestock market in the centre of Thame to speak to farmers about the issues concerning them.

Lib Dem Leader Nick Clegg rejoined Stephen Kearney in Henley today. Stephen and Nick visited Barley Hill Primary School in Thame for a briefing with the headteacher, then chatted and played with the children in the breakfast club.
