Kearney: Henley needs a full-time police station1.51.44pm UTC (GMT +0000) Tue 10th Jun 2008 Stephen Kearney is campaigning for the police station in Henley to be open full time. Stephen Kearney said: "Concerns about anti-social behaviour and crime are rising locally. Henley in particular has seen an increase in the number of people coming from outside our area for a night out." "Problems are often at their worst when the police station is closed. That doesn't make sense." Local police have been starved of resources in our part of Oxfordshire in recent years. Stephen Kearney will battle to change this as our local MP. Stephen Kearney said, "We are fortunate to have such hard working police officers in our area." "It's time they were given the proper resources to tackle anti-social behaviour in particular. We need more police on patrol in our towns and villages."
